Comrades, I can not recommend this vendor enough. Alex at Front of Russia has plenty of reproduction and original soviet items listed on his site. His service is great and the little bonuses he includes with each order are just great. His site is: www.frontofrussia.comIf you don't see an item listed, just email he and he can check. Outstanding, simply outstanding. -dave 416th

Komrade Konstantin;
I am sorry to disagree with you, but I have placed two order with FOR. The first one had items of the wrong size, or items that were missing all together. Alex attributed this to his staff who do not read English. Alex, then promised to make it right, if I would give him a second chance.
So I did, I placed a second order. Alex told me he would ship the corrected items from the first order, with my second order.
Nothing ever arrived.
Alex blamed it on the postal service overseas. I deal with other people, both vendors, and friends in Russia, and the Ukraine. Yes, compared to the U.S. postal service, theirs is slow, expensive, and incompetent, but to blame the fact that nothing ever arrived on the post, and just let it drop at that, seems unprofessional to me.

I'm going to give FOR a shot and place an order in a few weeks. More details to follow on my experience.

Like Leshod, my first experience with FOR was very negative. He never offered to make good on anything. I am going to order some more shoulder boards from him though. He CAN'T screw that up!

Update:
FOR isn't returning emails I sent about an order change, so between that and your sage advice tovarischi! I'm going for Trident instead.

Velodya, Someone said all of their e-mails to him were bouncing, I tried it, and mine did not. He's very inconsistent when answering e-mails. What are you looking for?

I'm looking for a uniform and some elements of gear.
My emails aren't bouncing, otherwise yahoo would give me a notification.

Velodya, Ordering a uniform from him . . . . . well, there is where my son and I met our Waterloo, so-to-speak. Not one thing that he sent us fit, and yes, I triple-checked the sizes before ordering. He never answered any e-mails that I sent over a period of weeks/months offering to do something about it. I found an ebay seller (Hong Kong Charlie?) who is making some repro uniforms. I have gone out on a limb and ordered something. If it turns out, he may be a good source of uniforms besides Trident. I gave up on getting uniforms from OstFront, they never seem to restock. Good luck with Alex and FOR if you decide to go ahead with them. Yuri

Well Yuri, I didn't think he had any M43s.
I think OstFront is hopeless. they never have anything, and what they do have is too expensive.

Hey Velodya, I just got through PM'ing with the CO of the 2nd Guards over in the UK about the HK guy. (For the record, I'm still waiting to get my stuff, should be here, oh, maybe next week.) The 2nd Guards guys are using him for their M35/40 gyms and say they've had good luck and have been very satisfied with him, service, etc. I probably ordered a gym that is too big, but after ordering one and it being too small, I'm kind of gun-shy. I'll be sure and post on here when I get them, etc.

I know the feeling. I'm probably his size L, but XL is just safer. Better too big than too small.
I've seen the 2nd Guards website before. Looks like nice unit.

Uniform arrived today! Looks great, only problem is that the shirt is too snug on the shoulders. Uncomfortably snug.
So I'll see if I can exchange it for a size larger, if not maybe I can find a textile-gifted friend to ask for tailoring...

I got my two gyms and sharovari on Saturday. Same here. My chest measurement, with a shirt on is just over 42. I ordered a size 44 M43, I can't even begin to wear it. I ordered his XL M35 (47" chest?), and can wear it, but cannot raise my arms without it really stressing across the back,
His ebay store says he does not accept exchanges. I feel that ordered appropriate sizes based on my measurements. I wear a size 41 suit. I wrote him this last weekend, but have heard nothing. I'll be contacting paypal here soon.
