Ok folks. Up for discussion, I would like to hear what you all would like for an eastern front event. As in what are you looking for? Classic Tactical, Public Display, what not. What time frame, early, mid or late war? What ammenities?
Please be realistic as wishing for a battalion of T34's just isn't going to happen.
We are in discussions for a potential Eastern Front event. So all ideas are being solicited.
Spaciba,
-dave 416th
Oh and I should add one more question. In this era of climbing gas prices, what factor/factors would convince you to attend an event?

I know I am the new guy, but i would love to have a full immersion late war tactical. Just Germans and Russians. You have to carry everything you need into the field and have some night battles. I think that would be a great senerio but i don't know how realistic it is.

I think that would be a great scenario but i don't know how realistic it is. Joe Come on up to the 2007 Stackograd in MN and I'm sure you'll get what you want. I know that they guys in the 2nd SS would be up for this type of thing to go head to head with the 416th and 13th Siberians. Daaveeh is already started the basics for organizing this one so with luck the Capitialist enemy of the Pheasants and Workers (aka The MN Gophers) will not have there hands on the site.

I would like to see a Yugoslavia tactical reenactment, with a date of 1944-45. This kind of reenactment could include partisans, Soviets, Germans, Italians, OSS, Brit Commandos, Chetniks, Croats, etc.
The partisans could do either Tito's or Chetniks, and change sides when the whim takes them!
Ammentites? Porta-Johns, water, good parking, and an intelligent scenario.

Ummmm, in Illinois . . . well, not sure how well that will go with the restrictive gun laws, etc. I mean, can I bring my PPS43? As for me and my house, I am pretty limited as to how far I can go during the school year, since I can't necessarily get time off for events. If it's June or July, then I'm in much better shape. I would like a field event as Joe said with period rations/meals, a mahorka issue, etc. Dorian M. and the guys down in SC did this back in December, and I believe it receieved good reviews. I also like the idea of a semi-scripted tactical.
FWIW, YMMV,

Full immersion tactical sounds good. Also what Yuri said. Maybe mixed with a lil "work" as well. Foxholes and the such...If possible. Period camping and the such.
