Perfect timing. I have recently started collecting Mosins, Nagants and soon a Tokarev. I am now hooked on the Russian Front. Anyone in Texas?

So far we're in the same time zone, but the other end of the 48 states. The 416th is headquatered in IA, and draws members from IL, IA, MN and WI. The other unitl is the 13th Siberian are based in MN. Main distiction between the units, the 416th does RKKA as their primary impression and the 13th does it as secondary. We normally end up mixed togther at tacticals anyways. Both groups are part of the HRS and their are links to thwir webistes here: www.worldwartwohrs.org/Units.htmGlad to have you on board.

Dan Welch who many regard as one of the key figures in RKKA reenacting here in the States, myself included, used to run that unit before he left the hobby. It was through his Russian Grunt that many of us got our first impressions. His efforts at making getting uniforms and equipment helped many a aspiring frontovik. Have you hooked up with them yet? Dan has since sold his stuff and left the hobby, but the unit goes on. The ones I have met are a good crew. -dave 416th
