Tovarischi, I am trying to figure out how much room our unit will need at the upcoming event at Lowell for their WWII event. At this point it looks like I will have my family with me which means my squad tent will be pretty full. However, it also looks like Brian plans to attend and that will give us another squad tent and fly in addition to my tent and fly. Now last year it was just my family and I who camped with the 95th as Russian and it was very cramped to say the least. So now with the possibility of multiple squad tents, flys and plasch tents just for our camp I am sure we will need another area. Before I can make a request I need to know numbers. Some of us usually do U.S. 106th Cav Recon at this event and take part in the public battles. Some talk has been tossed about where some folks are thinking of camping and portraying Russian for living history and then suiting up as GI for the battles. This is fine with me. I just need to know how many folks we plan to have in camp and the camping arrangements so we can get adequate amount of space. Battles are planned for the back forty area where other countries will do battles like eastern front and perhaps Japs vs Russians such as operation August storm. So please look over your itinerary and please let me know as soon as you can if you plan to attend and camp with the 9th Airborne. Event Site: www.lakecountyparks.com/WWII.htm Thank you for your time and attention on this matter. Sincerely, Dima 9th Airborne
