Tovarischi,
Well I had one set of plans and they have changed but not in a bad way. Originally I had planned to travel to the Florala, Alabama event to try out what folks have told me is a kick butt eastern front event. Especially since JB changed their weekend to avoid Easter and landed on Florala’s event weekend.
However, after having a family meeting I found out that my wife and daughters are really getting into the WWII period and would like to do more events. Well since Jefferson Barracks is closer, it is during the school year and gas prices keep going higher I have decided to alter plans so that I can enjoy the weekend with my family at the Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, MO event on April 15-17. I will set my sights on Florala for 2012.
Now that I have finally gotten this figured out I would like to see how many Frontoviks are planning to attend the event so I can see if we can set up some training scenarios to help organize the RKKA forces in the region. My hope is to get reps from the various units to sit down and discuss the direction the RKKA forces are taking in the region as well as discuss events which are taking place in the region.
Other activities I am willing to undertake are football(soccer) games with period repop soccer ball, basic as well as advanced training scenarios not only to demonstrate to the public but also to help polish up our look as Frontoviks. It would be nice to see RKKA forces have a more organized look about them both on and off the field. The park lends itself very well to setting up for our needs.
I would also still like to try to establish an Eastern Front battle scenario for the public to give us a chance to show our stuff vs the usual East meets West scenario. However, in order to do this we will need to get substantial numbers of RKKA to turn out or else it will look silly.
So please look over your schedules and see if the event will fit in and if so please let me know and we will try to make it a weekend well worth your effort as RKKA re-enactors.

Thank you for your time and attention on the matter.
Sincerely,
