Found this item on E-Gay. E-Bay Item number: 230563595078. This is a Soviet size 50, POCT 3. That would be a good size for you, as it will allow you to add a little extra layers inside, and POCT 3 is what would be considered a medium length, so that is fine for most.

I asked the vendor if he could cut me a deal on the shipping if we ordered a few plasches, and he cut the shipping a bit. BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) we got 4-5 plasches pretty darned cheap.  Now, as to a size 48 shinel, good luck with that! I have never run into one in that size, and you'll be doing real well for yourself if you can find a size 44 these days.  They've all but dried up. I'd say if you're serious about a shinel (overcoat) you'll have to go through Schuster in Belarus. I would, but I'm feeling rather burned out on my RKKA impression these days, and I'm not sure how much longer I'll be taking it to the field. Yuri S. |
