I'm fairly sure there's only a handful of people that have decided to reenact as the Bulgarians at any point of the war. Since you Soviets supplied the Bulgarians post-1944, the only real difference in uniforms would have been the M36 Bulgarian helmet, the usage of Mannincler ammo pouches, WW1 Germanic e-tool carrier, and cap.
I am so in the works of making a Royal Bulgarian impression and here's my list so far for making the impression.
Uniforms
Required:
-M 1936 kurtka (Russian Shirt Tunic) with stand collar and no pockets. Colors will vary from grey, green, or tan.
-M 1936 Breeches brown or olive (Polish trousers from Schipper are what I'm using)
Optional:
-M 1936 Winter Tunic, similar to WW1 Austro-Hungarian tunic but in brown and has a green collar like the German M1936 Tunic. (None currently being produced)
-Soviet Greatcoat
Headgear
• Italian-styled caps in brown wool (Post war Communist hats are allowed)
OR
Russian-styled hat in khaki brown with red band and piping for infantry.
• M36 Bulgarian Helmet A, B, or C models– Preferred standard.
or
• M16 German or Austrian Helmet – acceptable standard.
Footwear
-German or Russian styled jack boots in black leather.
Equipment
Soviet styled roller belt
Gas mask, bag and canister (Bulgarian original or German WWII, most just carried gas mask in canvas bag)
Y-straps
Entrenchment tool (WWI Austrian or WWII German)
Bread bag (Bulgarian original, German WW1/WW2)
Canteen (Bulgarian original, reproduction or German WWII)
Ammo Pouches: Mannlicher styled or Czarist Russian
Bayonet and frog (German or Austrian WW1)
Knapsack (German WW1/WW2)
Weapons
Rifles/Carbines/SMGs:
Carcano M91 – Preferred
Mannlicher M95 – Preferred
German 98k– Acceptable
Mosin Nagant M91 – Acceptable (Captured WW1 Stock was still in use by reserve units)
