Recent discussions have raised the question of when, and where Lend Lease armor was used by the Red Army.

This picture was included in a set of pictures from the Defense of Sevastopol museum. the caption suggests that this picture is from 1941, when the Axis first invaded, but I suspect it is really from the later "Liberation" of Sevastopol.

Has to be later, the US Army didn't even have that version of the Sherman in 1941. ;D They were still in M3s up thru Operation Torch..

Unless some ones gonna tell me the Soviets developed the M4 Sherman and the US stoled the idea, just like they stole Baseball. ;D

I agree, as I said in my original post, I suspect this is from the later "Liberation of Sevastopol".
