On this 68th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, I'd like to recognize the remaining veterans who were there. My great-grandfather was a Coxswain on the West Virginia, he's passed away now. So many of our greatest generation are gone, and in the next few decades we will be losing the rest.
So on this day, please recognize these heroes for their sacrifices and sufferings.
God Bless, Velodya

Tovarischi,
I took part in local December 7th ceremonies in my US Naval kit and it was an honor to meet the local survivors of the attack on our Pacific base.
We had five local survivors present. One was on the Oklahoma, another was on the Maryland, another was on the Helm. The other two fellows were Army Air Corps at Hickham Field and one of the Naval Air Stations.
All of them are very humble men and have earned their place in our nations history.
Sadly I am sure I will not see all five of them again next December 7th. Probably they will be with their brothers in arms who have passed on before.
Sincerely,
Dima
