I have had very good success with Trident. Like any vendor he has his detractors, but I have had good luck every time I have bought from him.

Yes, sometimes he is very slow to answer e-mails, but he answers the phone, or calls back within 24, to 48 hours.

The only "problem" I have ever had was when my Troop Commander, and I ordered an item, but he did not have it in stock. He went to his vendors in the Ukraine, and it took them six months to fabricate what we needed. I attribute the delay, to the fact that the item was a very specialized item, and not used by most reenactors.

When it did arrive, it was fantastic!

He also carries far more than just GPW era items.

As has been noted, some of my troops have been having problems with Trident. I personally have never had any problem, but Trident does "hold" your order if there are any back-ordered items. I would prefer that he contact the buyer, notify them of any items that are/will be back-ordered, and let the buyer decide what to do then.

That having been said, I still plan to deal with Trident, and have noted that when you place an order for in-stock items, it arrives in about one week, or less. As to back-ordered items...

I found the best way is to call monday night and order over the phone and ask what he has in stock first of what you want, and only order THAT, and tell him specifically you will call back at a later time to order the other backordered items... he will do that for you, but you have to catch him when he is in the office and be persistent so that he knows you only want to order those items he actually has in stock and to not hold up the whole order just because one item is not in.

That happened to me with an order that had a plash-palatka in it that never came in, so I had to eventually just cancel that order and then reorder just he stuff he had and that stuff came like you said, in a week or so. Having said that, the items are top notch and reasonably priced, and he has a pretty good selection of stuff for the RKKA.
