Interesting info.
Grass suits are not difficult to make. It just takes time to make them using the period techniques. They drive me pecans, cashews and walnuts when I wear them since the strands always seem to tickle my nose. LOL!
One of the sets of memoirs I have from an recon element of a Rifle unit describes how they would alternate their method of infiltrating enemy lines.
Sometimes it would be on foot and other times it would be on horseback.
He also described the additional training they received in order to handle horses as well as using blades (sabres or sashkas?) on horseback.
