A few of us from the 416th are planning to attend this event to check out the site and see if it is something that we may want to get the unit to attend in larger numbers in the future.
The site has bunkers and trenches and after the recent ice storms it is said to look like tree bursts hit the place.
I will get some more of the event details posted in the next day or so.
The schedule will be, Registration open by 1200 friday, clsoe at 0900. Saturday, registration opens at 0700, close at 0830. Safety and authenticity at 0830. Then move to trenches. battle starts at 0900, and we do start on time. Gate will be locked at that time. Battle from 0900 to 1600, if everyones ammo last that long. Bring plenty. Pyro is allowed, but must pass safety inspection. Lunch is tactical, plan accordingly. we do serve schii on friday, bring messkit and big spoon. Fee is $20. Camping on site, different areas for modern and period, but not far apart.
