I had a wonderful time at the event. The weather was awesome and the camaraderie was excellent. The site is very suitable and works well for our purposes. A big thanks to all who made the event possible.
It was great to meet up with my fellow frontoviks of the 343rd Rifles and 19th Guards. Hopefully next year we can increase the Soviet presence even more.
It was my first time at the WWII weekend and I enjoyed all aspects of the event. Even the grass fire added some additional excitement to the battle. Form my vantage point on the hill it was a site to see.
Back in camp I enjoyed watching folks carefully approach and check our fake barb wire to see if it was real or not. I also enjoyed watching folks knock on the hedgehogs to figure out what they were made of. That never gets old. LOL!
The Saturday night dinner and dance was a blast and the band was top shelf.
The 416th Rifles look forward to attending the event next year with more of my comrades in tow.
