I am posting this on behalf of the folks out in Nebraska.
The Eastern Front Event, sponsored by the Cassock Cavalry has been set for the first week in February, February 6-7th in Verdigre NE. Lodging is available in the sponsor's house on for those arriving on Friday evening. O'Neill NE is only 30 miles away and has several hotel options.
Verdigre is located up near the South Dakota border, roughly 4 hours drive across NE from Omaha.
The area has open ground (steppes) and wooded areas for fighting the terrain is excellent and vehicles are welcome. There will be plenty of room to maneuver. The ground is beautiful for tactical fighting with gullies, canyons, and draws full of trees and long open ridges, creek bottom, an old farmstead, tree stands for snipers, foot bridges across the creek, all on a full section (640 acres) of ground!
We would like to get a rough count, as there are plans to provide food at this event. There will be a $10.00 charge, supper will be provided afterwards.
Come and join us as we hope to offer another event in warm weather later this year (Yes Bruce, as you pointed out, the Germans fought the Russians in warm weather too). please let other organizations know.
If anyone is interested or wishes to come, they are more then welcome. Any questions don't hesitate to ask.
