Tovarischi,
The 416th will try to field a section or a squad to take part in this event to see how it goes. We encourage others to attend as well.
21 -22 March 2009, ETO Tactical, Camp Hickory Hill, Columbia, MO
The Railsplitters Living History Company is proud to announce a new tactical battle, located at Camp Hickory Hill. Hickory Hill is a diabetes camp located 5 miles north of Columbia , MO. The event site is centrally located between St Louis and Kansas City . The date for the event is 21- 22 March 09. The battle will occur on Saturday 21 March, and if enough people are still present, we will do something on Sunday the 22nd.
The event will be a tactical battle on the 77 acres of the site. The site has unheated cabins, and the event fee of $20 will include the use of these cabins. You can stay on site with no additional cost if you want to spend the night. The cabins are small, have plywood bunk beds, and sleep 8. A small space heater would keep them very toasty. There is a capacity to sleep 120 at the site, and units may reserve their own cabins for an additional fee. Individuals may also camp on site, if they wish.
The scenario design will be based upon tactically sound objectives, with the scenario winners determined by having control of the objectives.
Questions regarding the event may be directed at the event coordinator, Tim Scherrer at soldierboy440@yahoo.com or by phone at 573.489.4891.
