Cyrillic stencils

Well Dima gave up trying to get commercially made cyrillic stencils. My hope was to save some time so I could focus on my many other projects. Ha!

So I sat down and made my own. It doesn't take long and it is not difficult at all.

I went to Wal-Mart and bought some clear plastic sheets which are sold as being stencil blanks. They are cheap and work great!

Then I sat down at my computer and then used the "TL Help Cyrillic" font in the Micorsoft Word program and printed out the cyrillic alphabet. If you need the letters to be bigger than 72 pt then print out and then use a copier to enlarge them.

Then I used "white out" to block out the letters for the stencil effect.

Then I placed the plastic sheets over the printed letters and used a pen knife to cut out the letters.

It took some time and effort but in the end I have to say it was worth it.

Since then I have done several sets of stencils for marking crates in cyrillic.

I will post the whole set I have made for the Cyrillic alphabet.

This way folks can use a copier to enlarge or to shrink them to the size they need.
