Comrades;
I got one of the parts kits available out there, but, per ATF, they can not sell the upper barrel shroud. Does anyone know if there is an available shroud that I can use to finish a dummy gun for LH events?

Careful as she goes there mate! Dangerous waters ahead in that dept. Yuri That is why I already plan to use a solid piece of steel for the barrel, and remove all the guts in the lower, and have the cavity welded. I do not have the machinery, or the skill/knowledge to fabricate my own upper, otherwise I would not have even asked this question. I can work wood, when I have the tools, and machinery, but when it comes to metal. I send it to someone else. Boridin

You know, Montana might be the hot spot for reenacting. They just passed legislation stating that if its made in the state and doesn't leave, its not the Fed's business.

You know, Montana might be the hot spot for reenacting. They just passed legislation stating that if its made in the state and doesn't leave, its not the Fed's business. While I am all for this, and Texas has also passed a similar bill, and twelve other states are in the process of passing them, in the end, it really won't matter. The Imperial government in DC will not honor any such law, and will either overturn it by federal fiat, or they will simply ignore it, and do as they please anyway. Does anyone really think that the respective states have the power, or financial wherewithal to fight the feds for long? Even if several, or even all of the states band together, they still can not fight the feds for long. I have seen interviews with the Montana (state) Senator who started all this, and even he acknowledges that in the long run this will not make any significant difference. It is more an act of symbolic defiance. I have encouraged my local state reps to author, and introduce similar bills here in PA, and to even include selective fire weapons in the effort. What will happen from here is unclear. Boridin

It might provide enough of a statement to block Federal gun bans. If the Feds feel that any bans won't be effective because of state regs, they probably will cut their losses. Mercifully President Obama hasn't shown much interest in banning guns. He's been busy elsewhere.

04th day, of the 07th month, or the 2009th year!
Tovarisch Stakhanov, that is the common military method of listing a date. Unlike civilians who go month/day/year, the military goes day/month/year.

Yes Sr. Sgt. I know there are multiple days to read a date, but why was this date more important than any other regarding the current administration and gun control?

Yuri Oh, in one of his speeches (to inner city folks) the 4th, he mentioned that he will soon begin an effort to eliminate the evil assault rifles again, to reduce the murder rates of innocent babies in "da hood". That is why. Boridin
