Tovarischi,
Aleksi and I had a good time at the event.
The site is great and the cabins work very well for housing troops at the event.
The movies in the mess hall were a lot of fun.
The site has a diverse set of terrain features including a cave, lake, hills trees, etc. Plenty to keep folks busy while in the midst of a tactical operation.
You can find photos for the event here. They will be in the Camp Hickory Hills section. Thanks for the photos Gary.

I really enjoyed portraying Wernher Von Braun in Scenario #2. The cast was a pain but it worked out well I think. My trusty lab assistant Paul and I had a blast hiding in the cave at the Linnichmunde(alt Peenemunde) secret rocket factory waiting to be liberated by the Americans. The surrender was a bit touchy but the chocolate and apples from the GIs were greatly appreciated. The interrogation was one of the better times I have had in a long time. Watch out for those rubber knives. LOL!
My apologies to the Brit Paras for blowing up their jeeps during scenario #3. The sight of two jeeps left unattended was too much for this partisan to take. So I had to place the mock TNT blocks on your jeeps. I did have my eye on the Dingo and I had a special satchel charge for it but I could not get close enough. Nothing personal....it was just business. LOL!
Additional apologies to the 1 GI(Pops) whom I stabbed with my rubber knife and to the other two GIs(Greg & a Ranger) whom I shot with my pistol during Scenario #3. Again it was only business. LOL!
In the future as someone passes through your check point be sure to properly search them and their luggage. Failure to do so could result in exploding vehicles and dead comrades. Simulated of course.
All in all it was a very good time and my thanks to Tim for getting this event off the ground.
I am looking forward to next years event.
Sincerely,
Dima
