Looks like we might have a vendor who is willing to add new impressions to their stock. www.schipperfabrik.com/They just added a Hungarian uniform and if 5 people are willing to order will add Romanian. Maybe they will add Italian and Russian?

Italian would be nice... hard to get decent Italian tunics unless you order from Hong Kong or Italy, and one is not always assured speedy deliver or delivery at all in either case.... I have done business with Schipper fabrik before and they are good folks in my book.

LOL, my son wants to do "lesser Axis" so bad he can't see straight. He threw the Germans over a long time ago, and said if he ever ventures far from RKKA it will be Hungarian, Italian Alpini, or Romanian.

PS: FWIW, I like Schipperfabrick's Polish stuff.

If he wants to do Italian in the NE let me know, I also am the CO of an Italian unit when not doing RKKA... I have my info in the foreign unit recruiting section.

Thanks Vlad, but we're in Western/South-Central Kentucky. We had an Italian Alpini come to the May Mariongrad event. I freaked out when I saw him emerge down the road from me, I thought the iste had picked up a Tyrolian hunter. Are we at Goering's place? My son, Vladimir got to talk to him at the end of the day. I told Vlad, save your rubles, get all of your RKKA stuff first like you want it, and then go for it. Of course, if he does it, Comrade Dmitri will put him in the ditch. Yuri

There is an Alpini unit in Kansas I believe that belongs to HRS.

Yep Vlad, the man he talked to was out of that unit. I think they have some members in Missouri, and are somewhat scattered about. I hear they ear very well in camp though. Yuri

Well, if either you or your son ever relocate to the NE and want to do Italian look us up, the most common impressions up here are 29th SS or Blackshirt for Italian. I run a squadra of 29th SS up here when not doing RKKA ... it pays to have multiple Impressions I have found... and it keeps it fun!

Thanks Vlad, will do friend. My heyday of reenacting ('81-'97), and multiple periods is long behind me. I figure to do the RKKA thing, and that only, in order to do it well. I only have that and my Roman impression right now, and probably wouldn't have either of those were it not for my son wanting to experience all of this.

You're Welcome!
doing mulitple impressions can be a bit of a strain to be sure, but its good to know there are fathers out there helping their sons get into this wonderful hobby of ours. I am sure he will enjoy it for years to come and build many lasting and worthwhile memories and a great love of history and its lessons.

Vlad, LOL! This poor kid didn't stand a chance when it came to loving history, both of his parents are Social Studies teachers. He grew up in a house filled with muskets, relics, etc. In all seriousness, I was taken aback the other day when he told me that he preferred my company and that "of all you old guys" in our group to that of his peers. He says that he feels that reenactors are the only people who understand him. Just picture it, instead of mom and dad having an argument with their teen, "You can't go hang out with those boys, they drink and do drugs!", we'll be doing this in a couple of years, "What!!?? You mean you are going to spend the weekend at Jefferson Barracks hanging out with those Italian Alpini? What about your future? What will the university say when you apply? Have you thought of that young man!? And to think we spent all that time and money, not to mention the sacrifices we've made to outfit you as a soldier of a major power! Well, if this is the thanks we get we might as well have just let you do G.I. then!" Truly, with this child, I am blessed. Yuri
