Here is the info I emailed out to local folks. Email me for more info or to attend. admin@416rifleregt.com
Everyone able bodied Comrade come on out to the 1st ever 416th Fall Training event to be held October 6-8, 2006 at the palacial Blackwell Compound near Anamosa Iowa.
This event is open to all area WWII reenactors regardless of nationality. Also to all prospective WWII reenactor wannabees. However please be advised that all training will focus on Soviet Infantry/Scout/Sniper tactics. That is unless someone else wishes to volunteer to conduct a course. Even though it is soviet training, those in the past that have trained with us have found it beneficial and loads of fun.
Fall Training will be similiar to the annual spring warmup we have had for the last few years. It will be more focused on training than live fire. Live fire will still be available, but we won't have a shooting contest with awards like we do in the spring.
Scenario is once again set in 1943. This time the Germans have counter attacked and recaptured the Fully Functional Vodka Distillery near Genericsgrad. Active recon must be done to prepare for the soviet response.
Dima is currently prepping courses. Included may be a night time scenario to capture 1-2 german tongues. We need a couple volunteer germans to man a sentry post. The Russians will attempt to use stealth to capture them. This one will be a blast.
Friday nights festivities will either be the camp party or a sortie into Cedar Rapids to the Lumberyard. Someone needs a 2x4 for a tent pole? Don't they? Hehehehehe
So please let me know if you can attend as soon as you can. Here is the list of those saying they will be there so far... Rob L, Steven B, Oscar K, Dave P, Greg P, Joe S.
As time gets nearer I will send out directions. Any questions or concerns let me know. This has potential to be more fun than the National event. But not as much fun as being stranded on a desert island inhabited pack of zombies, armed with a flamethrower.
Stoli anyone?

Comrades,
Here is the website that we used for the spring event. Most all of the info applies for the fall event. Most important is the link for directions for those that had never been there.

If I get time I will migrate it over to the new domain and update it. Time of course for me lately is a premium.
