Yes, it's me (David Halseth) [glow=red,2,300]not Dave Pasbrig.[/glow] Dave H. ---------------------------- I should have mentioned the post was made by Dave H and not Dave P.(Konstantin) The following was posted on the WWII Forum concerning Stack O Grad. Too bad it has resorted to this. Stack O Grad was always a great event. I guess I hate threats or promises or what ever they are called. I am still happy with my decision. Disappointed, Sasha Boycott Rumors Re: STACK "O" GRAD MAY 19-21, 2006. « Reply #13 on Today at 11:20am » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To those boycotting or thinking of boycotting Stack O Grad... Just so you know: Those of you who are choosing to Boycott the Stack O Grad event because of my involvement with the HRS BOD... OK, I guess I understand? I don't think your really going to end up punishing me all that much and will just do damage to the future amount of GPW/East Front events available. ALSO: The days of Rosemount (Satck O Grad) are numbered, the exact date when the site will close to Reenactors FOREVER is only known by the University of MN. and the State Government. But every hour the MN. Senate & House are in session is another hour we grow closer to the end. So there is a pretty good chance that this might be the last Great Patriotic War/East Front event held there FOREVER. AND if turn out is very low for Stack O Grad 2006 due to "a boycott"... any further East Front events (pending the U of M) organized or facilitated by me and held there will end. If I witness a boycott, my desire to organize and sponsor any future GPW/East front tactical events will disappear and I will just turn my focus and efforts elsewhere. I have plenty else I can do with my time. Thanks to all those who do attend Stack O Grad and those who have attended past Stack O Grads -- I thought everyone usually had a good time? Guess I was wrong? Dave (Dave H.)

Tovarischi,
I am interested who is supposedly iniating or thinking of initiating this possible, maybe, perceived boycott of the Stack-O-grad event.
This is the first I have heard of such an effort.
I have to say that it is a little late to try to initiate a boycott of an event which is one week away.
My Position on this matter. [glow=blue,2,300]Am I planning to attend Stack-O-Grad this year?[/glow][glow=red,2,300]No.[/glow]
[glow=blue,2,300]Is it due to Dahveeed's involvement in the recent HRS unpleasantness.?[/glow][glow=red,2,300]Yes.[/glow]
[glow=blue,2,300]Do I advocate a boycott of the event?[/glow][glow=red,2,300]No![/glow]
My decision not to attend is my own personal choice and I do not care whether or not other folks plan to attend or not.
I am not part of any effort to organize a boycott of the event so we an put any rumors of that nature to rest.
If anything I would say that gas prices of nearly $3.00 per gallon may be a cause for a low turnout not a perceived boycott.
I will have to stop by the Midwest Board and see what is going on.
Sincerely,
Dima

I also have had to change plans for attending Stack-O-Grad due to a work required certification class taking place on the weekend. My apologies Dave H. I would be more then happy to send a donation to help off set event costs, I am already looking forward to next year.

Again thanks DaaVeed for putting on this event.
Weather was pretty much perfect.
Ratio of Russians to Germans was actually 1 to 2 and we had two light machine guns. Germans had no vehicles or MG-42's so things were easier. (17 Russians v 35 Germans so numbers were down a bit this year)
Couple of Germans galvanized - including some from the 12th SS.
We ran three scenarios;
A running fight for the block houses. The defense of Stackograd. German attack on another Soviet position to the east of the parking lot.
As far as I could tell the RKKA lost every single one but we had fun.
Good clean fights, with no problems over taking hits.
I've grown to really appreciate my "+2 Cloak of Evan Concealment" they work really well.
Magic moment - the local CAF chapter put their Mitchell over the site a couple of times in the morning.
I'll see what I can do about posting some photos over the next couple of days.
