it's easy to get to the event in Joliet....details are....open to the public on Sunday June 11, 2006 from 8am to noon....set up outside for the living histories is FREE with free admission to the collectors show to reenactors.....set up will be from 3pm to around 9pm on Saturday June 10, and again the morning of the 11th....no fires allowed, no digging pits, no vehicles on the grassy areas....plenty of parking for vehicles to the back of the Legion Hall....bathrooms in the Hall open during their business hours (it has a bar inside, so probably to at least 1am)...then bathrooms about a block away at a 24 hr gas station.....we have planned to have a WWII US Field Kitchen set up, and a cook to feed us Sat evening and Sunday morning....Directions: Take Interstate 80 East....cross over Interstate 55.....stay on Interstate 80 East to the South Larkin Ave exit....it's just about 6 miles past the junction of I-55/I- 80.....take South Larkin Ave to the first Light, turn right onto the Frontage Road and follow it around to the Legion Hall.....actual address for a mapquest search is 705 S. Larkin Ave, Joliet, IL 60436....any questions, give me a shout....and please pass the word to others....the more attending, the more fun....
