I must ask Question: Now that there is a "Tiger" in the Mid-west, How do we all feel about it concerning Authenticity? Personally, I see it as a waste of a perfectly good T-34 or T-55 or whatever it is. And feel it would be like a US unit showing up with a M37 and trying to pass it off as a WC-52 or something like that. Cool in all respects, YES, but authenticity has a little to be desired. Now, I know that people are going to say I have ARMOR ENVY but that is not the case. Lets here your real opnions on this not a post defending this tanke. Best Regards Adam

Tovarischi,
Personally I feel that the tank is a welcome addition to the tactical aspect of the hobby. It is a good mock up for use at tacticals and I look forward to sneaking up on it and placing anti-tank grenade sims on it.
When it comes to a living history environment I am not sure how I really feel about it.
Although I do have to admit that flying muzzle brakes do make me uneasy.
I will have to think about this some more.
Sincerely,
Dima

I am eager to see the new kitty. Since a real one will never see the likes of a reenactment in the US I will say that it is close enough. ( an adroit duck of my head avoiding any epithets of Farb) While far from perfect it does give an idea of what it might have been like. The recent Kursk event in the Czech republic had three of these conversions running around along with a number of T34s and about a dozen 251s/OT810s and a FAMO. The current midwest Tiger and the CHG Tiger are somewhat better than their Czech counterparts. Now, what may really be interesting is the guys in Hungary building a very, very close replica of a Tiger that does move. See: www.tiger1.hu/filmek.htmlI think this is for a movie but my Hungarian skills are severly lacking. Comrade TarawaJon
