In reality, different rifles like different surplus. Some love heavy ball Hungarian. Some hate it. Some like the light ball Czech ammo. Again, some hate it. If you are shooting only a couple rifles, It pays to pick up a sample of several different types of ammo and try it in your rifles. When you find one that works stick with it. I have shot touching groups with both types of above ammo. There also is some new production Russian Sniper ammo that made to to surplus. That ammo has produced really good results in my Finns.
Polish ammo works well in rifles with a tight chamber. If you have an over sized chamber they will often split at the neck and generally throw the shot out of the group.
I have a Czech Model 91/38 carbine that has a very tight chamber and head space. It will put all 5 shots of polish ammo right on top of each other at 100 yards.
