My First version of a Military Like SVT-40 Blank Adapter is ready. It requires no modification to the barrel. This adpater is based off the Military design BUT unlike the Military one is adjustable with 3/8 x 24 x 3/8 AND 3/8 x 24 x 1/2 set screws. It is inserted by removing the Muzzel break Cap, dropping in BFA and reattaching the muzzel break cap. This version was set up for Swansons long 7.62 x 54R Blanks and SVTs with short blank modified magazines to use the available short blanks -- DO NOT USE THE PLASTIC BULLETED MACHINEGUN BLANKS WITH THIS BFA... they are way too HOT for any BFA 'cept on a machinegun.
If you use short Blanks... you will still need to use short blank modified magazines -- all this BFA does is restrict the barrel.
These are made by me in my garage for now (so they ain't pretty) and will probably be made by a machine shop in the future if intrest is high enough to warrent the exspense and investment. All will depend on test results and reports back from those who decide to give them a whirl.
Initial offering:
I would like to have different people test them in different SVTs so Cost: $10.00 basically USPS priority shipping to you and the 4 set screws (one inserted.) These are prototype BFAs and after testing reports, I will make more, improve them or give up.
