Well it seems that the plot has thickened regarding the whole T-34 SNAFU which took place at Antigo earlier this year.
To do a quick recap:
Just as the event was to take place we find out that the T-34 is not going to be there due to mechanical problems. However, we were not suppose to know this nor was it suppose to be posted on any of the forums ahead of time.
It was bad enough that Pierre tried to conceal this fact from those planning to drive 7+ hours to the event.
Well now the plot has thickened. We have received information from the tank owner that there were no mechanical problems with the T-34 as claimed by Pierre. Quite to the contrary.
This is the information from the owner:
"No one made arrangements to pickup the 34.
I got a call just prior to pickup from them asking
if I was ready to load...Hmmmm ,,,,,I replied that I
had no contact with them or the trucking company or
about 6 weeks.I was leaving town shortly..They had it
scheduled for the next day or the following.as you can
imagine it is not quite turn key and I needed some
time to schedule the startup,pickup,traveling to
unload it. ............they told Wayne with
the Sherman that I could not get my pile of junk
going,,,,Hmmmm,,,Bullhockey"
So now I am really glad that I did not haul myself and my gear all the way up there based upon false pretenses.
The truth will set you free. Gotcha!
