We don't often play with camo, but once in a while... Here are three scouts. Two are wearing the summer (lighter) color leaf pattern and one is wearing the fall/winter (darker) color leaf with amoeba overprint. The forest here is mixed fir, pine, cypress and white oak
Can you find the three scouts in this photo? Photo was taken 10 feet from the scouts.

Conclusions
The darker leaf appears to be more effective than the summer pattern in this forest, as the summer color is a bit to light to blend with the shadows of the forest. The amoeba overprint really breaks up the shape of a figure wearing the leaf and allows it to blend with a mixed background. One of the out of play Germans was watching us approach the German position said that the guy in the dark/amoeba just vanished when he stopped in the shadows (from about 65 feet away).
