I have found this to be a universal. That it is almost always the case of, well you do GI or Brit, so buy Russian. We want our Russian Winter medals. The way we get them is to fight at RKKA events. What? Me, the German, do Russian? What is the point of that? Standard come back? You could be on the winning side for once. ;D What made Russian grow? We were not a pack of jerks. We took the 300 pound Frontovik. No questions asked. It was fine. We let them use the boots that fit. They were not always the MOST correct, but it was a starting point. That went with some other things. I am not saying be a farb. I am saying, be a little more tolerant than the other impressions at first. Now what has helped is Ost Front. They came out with alot of affordable repros. Front of Russia is another great vendor. I got a couple of really hard to find items from them. Trident has a range of uniforms in lots of sizes. This impression has gotten a little more expensive. It still is alot less than most. If they want to reenact and are low on cash flow. We have just the impression for them. We down play the Commie stuff and promote the fun. We can be more fun than any other impression out there.

we are tossing around the idea of hosting an Eastern Front event in 2008. Take a look at the pics and let me know what you think. It is in WV. pictures.aol.com/galleries/rhaught/

If you can dig there, it has potential.

If you can dig there, it has potential. Martin Martin, The farm is owned by my grandparents so I am in line to inherit it after my dad. Most likely if anyone digs or builds they would need to realize that most likely hunters will be using them.

Well you could check out the buildings at Zavalla. Those are also very useful.

Thinking of using the location in 2008 for a Balkan late 1944 or an East Meets West event. Would like to have a purely Eastern Front event but the Russians hardly come to the ones already out there. In fact, the New England event is within 6 hours drive for a lot of people I know who have Russian kits.
