Comrade timdp, Most impressive work, you do look to be following Red Army doctrine in regard a hasty defensive position.... good details.
Is the Squad Automat positioned to cover the approaches and is easily controlled by the Kommendir?.
Are Ammunition Point and Squad Rest areas also so well designed ?, have you set up dummy and Alternative Positions to confuse the Pit Vipers or if you are flanked ?.
Has your supporting Artillery been given your Position location ?, so if you run out of time you can call the God of War down onto your own Position and you can become Heroes.
Not a Step back Comrade.
Respect to you and your Comrades that have given their time, sweat and blisters for the defence of Mother Russia.
It has been Noted in a Positive Report to Moscow Centre.

Tovarisch Petrov;
Super job. As you note, with all the overhead cover, normal artillery is useless (Just ask the U.S. Army about Heurtgen Forrest). Therefore, you must file the appropriate forms to increase your authorized draw of hand munitions, such as grenades, gas bombs, and mines.
Please keep us informed!

So, you employ innocent little gophers to dig your grenade sumps?
Rather ingenious, I would say!
LOL
