Comrades,
Comrade Zayats of a fraternal Progressive People's Forum found this and placed the declassified document on this Rezidency's 13th Guards Direction sector it uses for Internal Matters...
Not an NKO prikaz, but a possiblity in case of equipment shortages.
The Simplified Field Equipment of a Red Army Infantryman
(from the description approved by Major-General P.D. Davydov on the 12th of October, 1941).
The pack of the simplified field equipment of a Red Army infantryman consists of:
Waist belt – made of leather, trim or canvas, the width is 35 mm, length – 1200 mm. Designed for carrying items of equipment on it.
Shoulder straps – made of trim or stitched/sewed fabric. Serves for supporting the waist belt with the items of equipment set on it. The simplified ammunition pouch – made of leather or fabric with two waist loops for carrying made of leather, trim or fabric.
Bandoleer – consists of a case with the whole lid, shoulder sash and string trim. The case has six sockets/ports of different size. Made of fabric.
Grenade pouch* – consists of a case with a lid, two sockets/ports for grenades, socket/port for fuse assemblies and a pocket on the back side for carrying the small spade. Made of tarpaulin sailcloth/canvas.
Flyaga cover – made of fabric, with a trim string over the upper edge. Serves for keeping the ¾ liter flask (glass or aluminum).
Meshok – made of fabric, smaller size, with a tightly sewed carrying strap, with fabric movable shoulder pads and a chest connecting strap. There is an emergency store of food and clothes: a pair of underwear, foot wraps (portyanki), a towel, a pot, a cup, a bar of soap, a roll of rope for a plashch-palatka, and the small personal items of a soldier. The volume of a bag makes it possible to put the plash-palatka itself inside.
Utility belt – made of leather, trim or stitched fabric. Designed for rolling the edges of a great coat or a plashch palatka.
In August of 1942 the construction of a kit bag was changed: instead of the shoulder pads there appeared thickened straps.
The translation was by his Organ's of State terror, Comrade Natalia.
This Command has put their names forward for a state price for their services to the defense of Mother Russia.
