It's interesting to note,however, that the use of Fascist helmets appears to be limited to parade/ceremonial use!

Makes perfect sense to me, after all, shooting at "shapes" is one of the most common methods of engaging the enemy. If you wait until you are sure, you may very well be the dead one. Boridin |

I chased those photos of troops wearing stahlhelms down and discovered that the photos are of the 49th Guards in postwar parade. They did not have enough Russian helmets so used the German helms as substitutes for this one parade.
Posted the info and links on one of the other forums, but don't remember which one...
