I check in regularly, and have posted some stuff recently, and it seems very few, if any are still actively on here.
Please tell me I am wrong.
I would hate to see this forum die.

Tovarischi,
Many of us take part in multiple time periods of re-enacting as well as real world issues so from time to time folks drop off the radar.
I am one of those who are pretty busy.
But now that winter has set in my field operations are limited to WWII so that frees up some time to play catch up.
I have been finding all sorts of cool stuff while searching the internet using foreign language phrases.
Life is good!
Sincerely,
Dima

I check in from time to time ... remember we soldats are less gabby than the Brits, Italians or Germans as we are always living in fear of the NKVD and GRU !!! and as such are men and women of few words !

Volodymyr Da!, it saves on Liquidation and small arms ammunition costs, A traitor and Wrecker is condemned by their own Mouth, or more likely you are denounced by a Comrade jealous of your Position and fearful of your denunciation .... always a problem for Red Army Re-enactors.... ;D

I haven't been here in a while, and haven't really posted anything lately. Why? Well:
- I haven't come upon anything that I think anyone here will find of interest.
- My RKKA impression is rapidly becoming my secondary impression instead of my primary impression, and the reasons are numerous.
- Lack of traffic on here, and the lack of new postings, etc. It's a vicious cycle. The fewer posters and posts there are, the fewer the visitors, etc.

- My RKKA impression is rapidly becoming my secondary impression instead of my primary impression. Yuri S. This is most unfortunate Comrade dixieflyer, your Regimental Special Department has been advised... reasons are numerous. Yuri S. So Comrade... "Why do you not defend your Comrades of the Working Class of the Workers and Peasants state?. "When did you begin working for the Reactionary Wreckers of CIA and MI6 ?" " When did you become a traitor to Mother Russia?" etc.... Power to your Arm Comrade dixieflyer, many of us are active in different Directions of Interest, I'm even a Lesser Fascist at times, North Africa/ Royal Army only, but if I'm in a place that looks like a sand pit, there I play Italiano Royal Army Pavia Inf Div , cursing the Teds as they have left me in the "Blue" sans truck.

When did you begin working for the Reactionary Wreckers of CIA and MI6? Tovarisch BEF; Just an FYI, there was NO CIA during the GPW. At that time it was the OSS, and it was fairly pro-Soviet, ATT. Boridin

It mostly stems from the fact that I don't have an opportunity to really take my impression "deep". By that I mean beyond having a decent physical impression, etc. I want to be able to not only learn the language, but the drill, and other everyday aspects of being a soldier in the RKKA. There are just no events in my area that cater to that, nor can I find other like-minded people in my area who are interested in taking things in that direction.
I had a great time at Mariongrad this last weekend, which was a real shot in the arm for me, but I'm still thinking of making this a secondary thing.

Tovarisch Yuri;
Move this way, we do training events every year, and try to immerse ourselves in just the manner you suggest. Those in the Troop who wish to do tacticals are welcome to, but I generally do not, as I did plenty of them in the real U.S. Army.
Personally, I am more interested in the history, and the living history, rather than running, or riding around in the woods making my weapons filthy.

Boridin True Comrade horsesoldier176, however Moscow Centre doesn't see the concept of "Time" as a linear construct ( nonsense answer for everything Comrade, arn't I a peach.... .... ), it observes and assists the Anti Gitlerite Coalition also World Peace/Revolution in several eras at once and the same time.....

Move up there? Oh, no way. This is as far north as this Alabama boy wishes to go. Spaceba for the offer though. If I ever find myself up that way with time for an event though, I'll be sure and look y'all up.

Tovarisch BEF;
You are aware of what Dr. Einstein said regarding time?
There is a reason that time exists, so that everything does not happen all at once.
Or something of that sort.
You know us Ukrainians, we and Moscow central are often at loggerheads.
Tovarisch Yuri, I certainly understand your point, there are plenty of times that I am not wild about this part of the NASSR. Especially in this colder weather with the crystallized rain. My arthritis doesn't like it much, and complains bitterly. Alas, like a good soldier, I muddle through, and drive on!
