Folks: I've obtained one of Koliya1985's "simplified" gas mask bags (as well as one of his early, bn-tch bags; both are nice) for a later war impression. As I understand it, the simplified bag would be used with a Schm-1 mask, and an MO-2 or MT-4 filter. I've got both types of filters, which seem to be a lot easier to find than the mask, and I'll use a GP-5 mask as a placeholder so that the weight and "fullness" of the bag will at least look correct from the outside. There's not a lot of room in the bag; bef, do you have any scans from manuals of how the mask and filter were arranged in the bag, and specifically, how the hose was routed?
As an aside, I'm still trying to get accurate forms made for the manufacture of cardboard cartridge boxes, so that they can be assembled correctly. What looks simple ain't so simple!
Thanks!

Comrade jmaurer,
I have a copy of Post GPW Norms for Respirator Bag packing for the Schm 41m ( unlawful Military- Industrial Complex's 1st strike) Weapon of Mass Destruction Protective Complex. Once I have completed this Work Shift Production Quota and it has been passed by my Rezidency's Political Officer, I will post it.
The Canister's sits in its pocket within the Haversack, the hose goes up, bends down into the other pocket, then bends up so the Mask stands up in its pocket up right, the Mask is folded twice as well.
The Image will tell all, once Declassified by the Chief Directorate of Strategic Camouflage.
Urrah!.

Good info tovarisch bef.
However, I notice this NVA soldat is using the GP-5 style mask. I thought that the GP-5 was a very late, if not post GPW era mask?
My unit uses the GP-4, as it seems to be more correct for GPW service.

Comrade, The Genosse looks to be from the late Sixties/early Seventies, it is to his scales of Norms, ours are to the "Friends" who jumped into his fathers trench and attempted to bayonet him.
Urrah!.
