Once again, why are you wasting your time, writing these big responses?
I look at the first line and say, bunch of BS, and don't read them.
I guess you can entertain each other.
Your not doing anything, beyond typing a bunch of garbage, that makes your forum look like trash.
When are you idiots gonna figure that one out?
I was talking about a subject yesterday that applies here. When your dealing with white trash, they will not see the error of their ways, they will blame others for their troubles.
You do that here. You sit and bad mouth people, instead of conducting a forum of research. You think that this is acceptable behavior. You cry when someone says, screw you and your BS.
Sunglasses F arb, you are a holocaust denier, and no real historian likes those people. The dip wad in Iran is on your train of thought. That shows what kind of bizarre freaks think that.
I have no respect for anyone like you. You have no place in portraying WW2, as your just like a neo Nazi.
So please don't polute the hobby with your garbage.

Tovarischi,
Foul language is not acceptable.
Such spirited debate is for the "Heated Discsussions"
Not here!
So we proceed further to the edge.
Keep playtime in the sand box not other places.
Sincerely,

Sorry, I don't eat fecal matter.
And your spelling reflects solely on you. Making it worse isn't going to have a beneficial effect on public opinion of you.

OK, well now that we can get back to the real topic of this thread, can anyone add additional photos of Red Military personnel wearing any type of tinted glass eye wear?
I would like to see other styles, beyond the obvious sunglasses on the sailor.

Tovarsichi,
Thus far in my collecting of RKKA images and reading of first hand accounts general purpose eye wear(eyeglasses and sunglasses) appear to be hard to find.
One of the memoirs I have is from a lady who was a translator for the RKKA and during one of her travels to a VDV unit she specifically comments about a Soviet soldier she met who wore glasses. She commented on how rare that was for her to see anyone with eyeglasses.
Now remember the Eastern Front was a big place and so what may have been rare in one area may not have been the case in others.
I wish I could help out more but that is all I know on the topic.
Now goggles are a whole other story and for another thread.
Sincerely,
Dima (future so bright, I gotta wear shades....)

Comrades, Personally, RKKA soldiers wearing sunglasses is one of those things that I think is so rare that in most circumstances it should not be done. The exception, once again in my humble opinion, is where you have a member who has an eye condition that demands it. We have such an individual here on this thread, and we also have a member of our unit whose eye health demands it. Aside from that, it should definitely be a no-go.

I may need some similar measures, or better yet a brimmed hat, due to light-sensitivity. Some of these medications are a pain.

Velodya, Is it light sensitivity just to your eyes, or your skin too? A brimmed hat for RKKA is going to be hard to justify for 99% of the events out there I believe.

Its mostly the eyes. My arms and neck always have the sensation of sunburn, without any actual burning though. Its a pretty weird side-effect really. If I'm lucky I'll only have to reenact on overcast days!

Tovarischi;
It is this very situation that has caused me to seek, and gather this information. I have two members of my unit, Velodya being one of them, who have a legitimate doctor diagnosed eye condition that makes the wearing of tinted glass of concern.
I agree, it is not something that should be encouraged, as a general rule, but as Tovarisch Stakhanov points out, there are legitimate situations where some sort of "remedy" must be found.
It is toward that end that I seek this info!

It shouldn't present an obstacle in most circumstance. But now that I'm thinking, a helmet and tinted goggles might work.
Though I should probably have a vehicle to warrant that appearance. Well, I'll work on that.

Velodya, if you're going to work on it, a T-34 or KV-1 would be nice . . . . vehicle-wise . . . . I'm just sayin'. Yuri S.
