I was just wondering how many of you make a helmet net for your soviet helmets? And if you have any photos you wanna share of it. I'll start by posting a photo of the one I "twined up" On a side note if anyone is looking for an M-40 style I see that sportsmansguide has some more for around $40! Attachments:

For a second there I thought you were going to offer your honest opinion in a decent manner. Of course those hopes were dashed rather quickly. If you would, feel free to offer any "good" know how on the subjects that dont specifically pertain to you. If not please keep it in the heated discussions area, and dont ruin all of my posts.

That is my honest answer. Every newbie want ones of those or an ameoba cover. It is farb for most impressions.
That line of thought is like every Bandwagon of Brothers reenactor. Do your research from movies and vendor sites, to get a "cool" impression, that everyone serious laughs at.
I am not your mommy. I am not going to tell you it is okay!

It was just an idea, I seen it done, and merely thought i'd see if i could tie it on and how exactly is the best way to do it, not saying im going to keep it. As for the camo, i think its kinda ugly, and not very...Camo like for the most part. I prefer the basic uniform. I was just trying to spark a small convo that had nothing to do with your dumb f*ckerness!

OHHH, so violent a response!!!
I gave you an honest opinion and you gotta call names. See, I cannot even post something here without being attacked.
This is a great place of learning!!!

On a side note if anyone is looking for an M-40 style I see that sportsmansguide has some more for around $40! Just got three of these and they are brand new in original waxed paper wrappers. Three pads with web strap, Size 2, made in 1957. Viktor

The ones my son and I got from the Ukraine this last December were dated the same year and in the paper too. Methinks a warehouse opened up somewhere.
