First Hello! I'm Lee Drake and have run into some of you over on the WWII board. I was directed to this board as well and thought this would be a good way to introduce myself by showing the beginnings of my RKKA impression. This brought up some good discussion on the WWII board and was very helpful to me so figured this would be helpful as well and very appropriate to post here also. My apologies to those who have seen this but RKKA is all very new to me, ( I normally do FJ, with Herr Keller's 7./FJR.6) So thanks for looking and helping! Here is my Soviet stuff so far. Funny how quick this happened! i183.photobucket.com/albums/x308/historymuseum2000/IvanStuff001.jpgThe helmet as discussed was from AtF. The pilotka and repro star are from Ost Front, as are the waist belt and leg wraps. I've got 3 of the post war pouches, one came with the rifle, the other 2 from AtF. Funny thing is I only ordered one, but they sent me 2! Who was I to look a gift in the mouth right! I want to get a nice leather one from Ost Front, that will happen soon. This all started because we were discussing in my FJ unit the need to try somehow bolster and support the Red reenaactor numbers. I'm not going to go into the little tizzies this set off within the FJ group! Those of you on the WH list got a taste of it from that prospective. Any ways thanks for the help comrades! Lev

Also, be sure and sign up for Dima's Archives, lots of good info to be trolled there. A big spaceba to Dima for collecting it for us! Don't hesitate to ask for any help from your new comrades here.

Tovarisch Lev,
Yes indeed welcome to our little workers paradise! LOL!
We can use all of the Frontoviks we can get our hands on.
I do my best to track down information and documentation to aid those who have taken up the cause of portraying the soldiers of the RKKA.
I dig around the internet and bring to this site information I hope will be of use to you and others.
There is too much speculation and supposition going on over at the other big forum so I try to keep myself and other folks honest on this forum.
So please enjoy the fruits of others labor here and welcome to the RKKA.
Sincerely,
Dima

Welcome Comrade historymuseum2000.
You will soon see a RKKA Direction of Interest is largely Political Perception, if you build it to quota you will get the gag and look good, if you don't you will be Liquidated by the Regimental Special Department.
So in many ways it is easy to conform to State Norms.
Urrah!!.
