I agree that both parties are not doing what is best for us as a nation and a people. Folks like the bootlegging, womanizing ( murdering) Kennedys and others of their ilk should be held accountable but they are not. Why? Because we have citizens who sell their soles for political spoils(jobs, money, favors) and as a result you have an atmosphere ripe for some like Barack Hussein Obama to step in and promise to save us all.

Let me know how that works out.

However, I disagree that Barack Hussein Obama is nothing more than any other politician. He is far from your average bear where politics is concerned.

A simple but concise look at his own words, plans and actions reveal a very socialist course he wants to take the country upon. Not to mention the wonderful list of associates and organizations(ACORN, Ayers, Dohrn, etc.) he has been a part of prior to his ascension to the Oval office.

Corruption, lies, and deceit involve all those with whom he associates and surrounds himself with. Not one but at least two tax cheats as members of his staff. More Czars than even Imperial Russia could muster. This fellow has neither the experience, morals nor the the manhood to properly lead this nation thru this period.

Socialism in itself does not inherently involve the Gulag system thus by the absence of such actions one cannot state that socialism is not part of Barack Hussein Obama's plan.

As I stated earlier, if you do a little research about Barack Hussein Obama you will see what his own words have described with regards to his socialist agenda for the United States of America.

As for actions he has already done quite a bit of damage both domestically(can we say stimulus package) and on the foreign scene but trash talking the United States to every foreign head of state who will listen. Our nation is hemorrhaging jobs at a rate to rival a sucking chest wound and what are our politicians and great president doing. Hmmmmm....well Barack is overseas trying to get the Olympics to come to Chicago and the Dems are trying to keep Rangel out of jail for tax evasion.

Being a native of Illinois I am very familiar with who and what Barack Hussein Obama is all about and what he wants to accomplish. Sadly those who follow his lead will only end up disappointed and ashamed of what they have done to the United States and her people. That is if they have any sort of morals.

North Korea is testing missiles as I type this message so where is the great Alzheimer's, peanut eating Jimmy Carter or Madeline (oh I suddenly realized I am a Jew) Half bright to tell us they had it under control.

Let us not forget Iran and its leader who denies that the Holocaust ever took place. How about Chavez and his little oil producing hole in the wall. Yet the Great Barack Hussen Obama and his administration are going to negotiate with these people.

Again I say "let me know how that works out."

We don't need the respect of the rest of the world. We have fought for our own independence, written our own constitution, fought a Civil War as well as not one but two freakin World Wars to help save the world. So world respect should not be a concern. I have seen what the other countries have done during their turn at the top so they can keep their respect.

What the world needs to do is to fear the United States and know that if they screw with her people and or her interests then expect to get the business end of her arsenal of Democracy.

I couldn't have said it better myself!

I would just add one point. If the "World's respect" is so important, name one country, especially in Europe that would exist in anything remotely like the form it currently does, were it NOT for the U.S. If the U.S. were what they all accuse us of, we would be running their countries. We have fought two world wars for them, and the only thing the U.S. has ever asked, was the land to bury our dead. We, the U.S., do not, in spite of the lefts contentions to the contrary, hold any "Imperialist" intentions. We have never occupied foreign land beyond what was necessary to stabilize the region.

Now one can make the argument that both GitMo, and Puerto Rico are examples of U.S. Imperialism, and I would point out that both have cost us, U.S. far more than anything we can claim to have gained, so it is hardly successful imperialism. No country in Europe, Asia, or the middle east has a U.S. controlled/manipulated government in power. If the U.S. were an imperialist power, we would not be buying oil from Arabs, we would have simply invaded, and take it. We do not! If the U.S. were an imperialist nation, all of western Europe would be a territorial satellite of the U.S. It is not! If the U.S. were an imperialist power, there would be no such country as Canada!

The whole argument that the U.S. is imperialist is ridiculous, and childish.

I most certainly agree with you on that Tovarisch Dima!

I honestly can't say I'm worried about Iran at all. Since the Mullahs there won't stop issuing fatwas condemning nuclear weapons as un-Islamic, I don't think they want anything more than the ability to generate power. At least, for now. But this is one issue I don't expect people to agree with me on. Taxes on the other hand, no one likes them.

And well said Tovarisch Serzhant Boridin. We are most certainly not imperialist now (some might argue cultural imperialism, but we all know that isn't the same), though we did certainly dabble in it around the late-19th early-20th centuries.

I agree, there was an "Imperialist" vain in the late 19th, early 20th century, but as I pointed out, it didn't work very well for the U.S., and has cost us far more, than anything we may have gained.

I don't think that most U.S. citizens are really interested in any sort of Imperialist entanglements, most of us just want to be left alone, to live our own lives. It is that very underlying belief that has finally caused so many Americans to stand up, and demand that the imperialist Federal governments get out of our lives, and our wallets!
