Tovarisch Martin,
Now you have ruined our fun! Hehehehehe.
This is how we entertain ourselves with new recruits to the 416th. We dump all of the gear in a pile and ask them to sort it and assemble it and put it on.
Sort of an initiation ritual which never gets old.
Sincerely,
Dima

Yeah, when your new, it rates right up there with the location of the Holy Grail. ;D
This rates up there with watching them put on puttees.

Sincerely, Dima You are evil Comrade Dima, but I must confess I have done similar. I once sent a private out looking for the linker, de-linker machine for a off side feed tray for an M-60 machine gun. The kid walked all over post all day, hunting for that machine. Needless to say, it doesn't exist.

Tovarisch,
I have to agree that there is some sort of sick satisfaction to pulling pranks like the ones we have listed.
However, the part concerning paybacks is always on my mind.
None the less it is a good way to initiate a new riflemen into the fold.
LOL!
Sincerely,
Dima
