Looks great! My son and I both want to get some helmets and work on them as projects, specifically the M-36 (?) I think it is. However, I do not know who is making repro liners for them, although I have heard that someone is, or has, done so. Again, beautiful work komrade.

Tovarisch Stakhanov;
Prairie Flower Leathers is working on them now. I have been working closely with him on the project for some time. He may make both the first, and second version liner kits, but that is still up in the air at the moment.
Just remember, if you do do an M-36, they are a very dark green, almost black, but not black. If you see, find, buy an M-36 that is painted black, it is a helmet captured by the Finns. The Red Army did not use black as a color on any helmets, based on all my research, and visits to museums.

Thanks! Right now I'm having trouble finding post-war M40's in size 3. I/we may have to go down to size 2.

Do you have a larger picture, or can you post it in a larger format? I would especially like to see the rim of the kaska, as that is the easiest tell from this picture.
BTW: Don't forget that the Bolsheviks inherited from the Tsar several thousand M-15 Adrian kaska. The Bolshevik's simply removed the Tsarist kaska plate, and either applied one of two styles of star device, or nothing at all.
