Tovarisch,
The shirt looks great!
Is this a pattern that the Russian group is selling or available commercially?
Do they have one for the trousers?
Sincerely,
Dima

Spaciba! Thanks for posting the pattern. I will look it up and try to make one myself, as I had asked Dima this last weekend about this very thing. Yes, you are right, they are very similar to an ACW shirt, but we must understand that that style shirt was a very long-lived style all across Europe for a long time. If memory serves, one can find pics of WWI German soldaten wearing civilian shirts of a similar pattern under their tunics in the front line. I could be wrong though. Sorry, starting to ramble again.

I might, and I say might, get to make one. Maybe. It is on my to do list, but grad school and work take first dibs right now.

The Germans wore that style undershirt in ww2 also until they went to the open collar tunic and the grey pullover collared shirt.

It is a pretty common European style shirt.
You just want to stay away from bright whites, as it was pretty uncommon to have bleached cotton, or wool to use, especially for peasants, and absolutely NO synthetics, not even in your thread.
