I finally was able to pick up some jack boots. They are the post war east German ones, but they are all I can afford right now. They fit my feet great, but when I try and pull them over my calves they become...lets say....a little tight. Is there a way I can stretch the calf part of the boot so I can tuck my trousers into them? Thanks!

He wasn't able to stretch them enough, so he split the seem on the rear and added a fabric gusset. Not sure how to stretch them, but perhaps above might be an option. Of course Pissichenko had good sewing skills so it didn't look bad, and had a good colour match too. LOL Later -dave

Do you think a good leather smith or shoe maker could do it??
Thanks!

I have seen leather added to the rear seam of the E. G. boots. You probably would need a descent cobbler to make them look right.
