Volodymyr, Comrade, you raise very valid points. However, I still stand by my earlier statements, which did not include that someone should not do partizan, nor did I say that they did not have a place, properly done, at reenactments. I for one would welcome them, if properly done, at the event we sponsor. The one scenario, that at least I think would be fun, is to have them at an Eastern Front event, but only they know which side they are going to align themselves with. At the beginning of the event they could make a coin toss/die roll. One result would have them fighting to help us drive the fascists out of the Motherland, the other would find them fighting as anti-Communist nationalists. They would take their place at a point neutral to both sides, and neither side would know their alignment for the weekend until that first encounter. ;D Also, please do not think my statements were a slam on Baiyodya. Until someone here decided to harass him here outside of the "Heated Discussions" area, and he experienced some financial difficulties, he was a member of my unit, and had attended one event with us. He has not responded to any of my e-mails since his decision to quit, and his last e-mail to me indicating his decision. Too bad, as he really seemed to enjoy himself at his first event by all the accounts I heard. Yuri S.

Hey guys! LOL I've just been lurking in the shadows as of late. Sorry I didnt get back at you sooner Yuri, I've been looking for another apartment and doing alot of cleaning and work at my Grandads. As for partisan, that is what I was initially interested in. A. I could keep my beard nice and rough. B. I actually have alot of old vintage style clothing I wear daily. C. I am very interested in the "peoples" aspect of the war. and D. I could smoke my pipe more often and freely. I love the ideas you all have of how to deploy partisans logistically and in an accurate way. As I have a majority of the clothing, and do not plan on selling my gorgeous 91/30 I believe it would be a great impression to do. Plus like said before, if any group needed to fill their ranks there is always loaner gear. Looking forward to see and hear / learning more on the partisan involvment in the war.

Tovarischi, It might be a good idea to move over to the thread discussing Partisan topics. rkkacr.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rushome&action=display&thread=149&page=1This will help keep it topical and perhaps help others who are looking into this aspect of the war. I have printed off a truck load of information over the last few years as part of research for our Eastern Front event in Iowa. We incorporate civilian / Partisan elements quite extensively in our scenarios. It adds a lot to the event. Now I need to scan it and get it posted on another site since a lot of it was located on websites which are now Kaput. The world of Eastern Front Partisans is far more complicated than most people realize. Can we say Partisan on Partisan fighting. Stay tuned for more info. Sincerely, Dima

Komrade Dima,
If you could put all that info printed out in a binder to mail Baiyodya that would be great for him I think ! If you do so I would like a copy too and would be willing to send you whatever $ you need for printing and mailing costs ! I am on the event staff for Odessa GPW Tactical and it would give us a better notion of what to use for standards for partizan participation.
Yuri, my comments are more at just clarifying my views on the partizan impression in general than analysis on anyone elses comments. No offense meant or taken. Let's all go over to the partizan thread ! its an interesting topic to be sure !
Volodymyr

Tovarischi, First look over the info links my posting above and check that thread. Then check out this thread: rkkacr.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=redarmy&action=display&thread=34The "red army studies" link is blown and sadly that website is no longer around. Those are some of the articles I have and plan to scan shortly so a lot of folks can get access to them. Then go to this link: crazysasha.webs.com/indianolaia.htmAt the bottom of the page is the information regarding what we do for the Partisans at our Indianola event. A lot of it is on the web if you just take the time to look for it. As time permits I will get it into electronic format. Sincerely, Dima
